I have recently taken over a hotel that has a mitel sx200 phone switch which is only about 1.5 years old. I have worked with NEC switches in the past, but when i came on site they do not have a manual on the phone switch and i need to add 3 analog extensions by tuesday. Can anyone be of assistance how to add the extensions or where to find a manual. Thanks in advance.

1. U are going to have to program on the console or your pc using hyperterminal.
2. i take it u have never worked on a mitel, it is not that easy if u haven't worked on one before.
3. u need to look for a ons line card and find out if they can add 3 extensions

If it's analog 200 you will need the programming overlay . Sorry I missed the part about the system being less than 2 years old . My fault

Form 9 is like command 14 + 1201 + 1202 + 1207 + 77
Form 3 is like command 15. Also, anything that you would do in CM 12 or 13 will be done in form 3.
Form 20 is like command 1201 + 81yy
Form 4 is like CM 08 and CM 41
Forms 20- 26 are like command 8Ayyyy. LCR is much easier for Mitel than NEC.
That should get you started. A suggestion: When you use form 9, put cable numbers or some other physical location in the comments column.
Oh, and cards are usually 12-port, 2 per cable, skip black/green. 8 cards per cab, if you have a t-1 card in slot 10 or 11 leave slot 5 or 6 blank (similar to the timeslot thing with IVS2).

Ok i have added the 3 extensions to the switch but ran into a problem with my PC. I am using Procomm to access the switch. Does anyone have a keyboard map saved for this switch. When i attempt to use the function keys to exit screens or use quick buttons nothing happens because my function keys are not mapped. Thank you all for your help.

Press "Esc" and then the number. Don't use the F-Keys.
i.e. press ESC 6 to quit.
