I'm working on a Mitel sx200 and when I dial 9 and the number you can see it pick up the trunk, but it will no go out. I receive wrong digit dialed error or a external busy. Could this be something in the modified digit table? Any help would be great..
Thnx

Normally the modified digit table for 9th level is absorp 1 and insert none . What type of trunks do you have in the system ? Can you directly select a trunk and complete a call ? This would bypass your ars .

Yes I can use the console to directly pickup a line using the function option I can call out, but when I try to dial out normally it will not go.
My lines are loopstart no t1 or anything..

Look up your direct trunk select access code . Using the pbx test phone . Dial the access code plus the trunk number of an idle trunk . You shoul hear co dial tone . If you can complete a call its something in the PBX . Do you have a Tone plan associated with those trunks ?

OBTW, We're assuming it's a digital! Rodimus, is this a digital, or an analog 216/217/218, or God forbid a 318/319? John

....you can see it pick up the trunk..., on the trunk card? DTMF/ Rotary set incorrectly? Centrex? Fiber? When/what caused this to start? Too many unknowns.

Thanks for the help...
We found the problem in COS. We changed to a different COS and we could make calls out. We went through all the options to see what might be causing this, but so far everything was ok...Any how we are using cos 2 for the guest phones and cos 4 for the console...
Thanks again for all the info..

Just an after thought, see if SMDR overwrite buffer is enabled for the COS in question?
