We have a Mitel 3300ICP. The fellows on site want to have an external ringer on their workshop phone so they can hear it ringing above the noise.

Has anybody done this before and if so what equipment was required.

Any assistance appreciated.

Do you have any analog ports on your system?

johnp I like your pic . tpezet forget the ringer get a "clackston horn" spelling may be wrong . Anyway it's a piece of cake . Chances are you are setup now to add one . Just need to buy the horn from GB . It needs to be installed near an AC power source and requires a pair of wires an 1 analog line . If they can't hear that there either deaf or dead . smile

You can program appearance(s) of the analog station on the 5212 or use suite services to make both ring.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to take your suggestion OBTW. The horn should be here in a few days and we will adapt a 5212 handset to go to the external speaker. Like the clackstorn idea.

Will let you know how it goes.

Just thought I would give an update. In the end we rewired a 5212's speaker connection to an external horn which has an amplifier (AC Power). I set the phone as a multiline to the office phone we wanted to amplify and it works well.

thanks for the replies.
