We have a customer that was forwarding a specific DID number to an answering service at night. Recently the speed dial entry was deleted from the phone that used to forward the line and I'm at a loss as to how this was setup. I can manually forward the DID number in System Speed Call by adding a 9 and the phone number to the proper entry. How can I setup a button on a 4025 set that will forward this line and another button to remove forwarding?

program the call forwarding always to either the speed dial number (may need to override toll control) or the actual number if permitted. Then setup a call forward follow me (call forward always) key on the 4025 set. Press key, the lamp goes on, the call is forwarded...press again to turn off.

That works fine for an individual number but this DID number doesnt ring one extension directly. The way it flows is in System Speed Call Assignment it normally points to a group which is voice mail. Somehow they were changing the Speed Call Actual Number field to reflect the answering services number instead of the normal voice mail number. The phones had a night on and a night off key. As far as I can tell by deciphering the existing programming this was just a speed dial button, but I cannot figure out how they were manipulating the Speed Call Assignment with the night on and night off buttons.

Press the super key , press an unused key , press yes to speed call , enter number , 9 first . Press save . Takes 10 seconds

Oh one more slight thing enter the 3rd party call forward acces code first then the extionm number then the 9+

The third party forwarding follow me took care of it. There was a speed dial entry that used third party follow me and one to cancel it.
