My customer has a 200 ICP with PMS. It has been working problem free for a couple of years. Last week they had a power outage and now PMS won't work. I've checked all the programming and it looks correct and I've tried a new Precidia ipocket232, but still no communication between PMS and phone system. I ran the PMS emulator on my PC and all I get back is "no response from PBX". I can ping the PBX so I know the connection is OK. Not sure what to try next!!!!
Any thoughts would be great
Thanks!

Program the i-pocket as a printer and do a CDE data print. That way you are confident that your i-pocket is functioning, your layer 2 switch is functioning, and the MX controller sees/communicates with the i-pocket. Then, program the pms interface from the folio views documents STEP BY STEP. Take your time, do not gloss over or skip ANYTHING. I have helped many technicians with a PMS issue to find they skipped a minor step. They become frustrated and assume the interface is programmed correctly so it must be the Mitel? Wish I had a dollar for the interfaces I corrected that were already programmed "correctly". THEN put the pms emulator on the i-pocket.

Since this first started after a power outage, I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that:
1.) The hub from the ICP controller was not on a surge protector, and 2.) The "wall wart" transformer that powers it got fried.
Check that first. If that's not it:
If you put a laptop on the hub or switch that connects to the MX controller, can you ping the IPocket?
From a Dos Window (start, run, "CMD," enter; or start, run, "command," enter on Win9x), type:
ping 192.168.1.xxx
where xxx is the ip address of the Ipocket. Then do the same thing with 192.168.1.1, the default IP address of the MX controller.
If both give good responses, the IPocket should work.
Things to check: IP address of the Ipocket is not in the 192.168.1.xxx range? IPocket has a gateway? MX Controller has been changed from default IP address? Hub or switch at MX controller has been unplugged or disconnected?
This is after you try MitelTech's suggestion first, of course, and only if you still you problems.
