Hi Guys,

Been in at the weekend moving users between 3300s using ops manager and now getting a database error on one of the controllers.

When I run the show fault alarm command I get the below result:

Database Status
-------------------------------------------------
| Database Status Condition |
-------------------------------------------------
| Corrupted Database on Plane A |
-------------------------------------------------

I've ran a full dbms check which sadly hasn't worked.

Wondered if you guys have any ideas on how I could sort this without doing a full restore as I don't fancy moving all the users again!!

Cheers

I've had it happen one time on my 3300 and a system reboot cleared the issue. If that does not clear it then I would think a restore is your only option. It's happened several times on my SX2000 and I have to restore the database.

I've just moved a load of users to this 3300 and am reluctant to backup as the backup I have is pre-moveover.

What if I exported all the Multiline forms, Tel Dir, Remote Dir, and User Config out to csv files, restored the database, then imported the csv files.

Would this work and clear the alarm?

Do a post move backup with another name like- post080307.tar that way you will have a pre and post backup. And then go over the Healthy system checklist.

Have you done a DBMS Check Full ?

Yeh already ran a dbms check full :-(

What I've done is backup to a file, then restore that same file. Ran DBMS check again and now alarm free :-)

Cheres
