The trunk cards are on the Misc. Card, Have you tried *51-01 *51-02,Check and see if they are ground start trunks,Does it work if you busy those out *41-01 ,*41-02

well...i can pull the j cables off...reset the system and the co lines clear...plug in one j cable a pull dial tone....but when i go to release the call...the set disconnects, but the system holds the line....i can then go off hook and pull the second line with dial tone..but then when i release...it too is held by the system. the only way to clear em is to power down.
PS...this also happens with the co lines disconnected from the system. it pulls the trunk but wont release it

i was reading an old manual that talks about the first two lines on the misc card are also power failure switched lines...i wonder if its detecting a power failure and holding the lines to the first two stns that dial in.
.or is that feature 'program specif. to the stn.
?

Dave, if this has suddenly appeared after working for an extended period, weeks, months, etc, I'd suggest a new trunk module, unless you have another in the system you can swap. Then swap them and see where the problem winds up. Must be a pretty good shape system if you can turn it off and back on repeatedly. These old 20s don't take too kindly to off-on's any more! By the way, there is NO hot-swapping in an SX20. Keep us posted. John C. (Not Garand)

You should be able to release them using*51-01 *51-02 Trunk release ,How many trunks do you have? If more than two Busy them out ,and see what you get.Last month it took 6 weeks to get a refurb. trunk module ,and the first one they sent wouldn't work.If you turn off the system take out the Misc card and see how many trunk modules you have there are two per card, the card layout is printed on the iside of the chasis.

well....the *51-01 did work at the console. I'm assuming thats where i was to enter that. If not, stop laughing and tell me where?...term. prog?

but it worked after thinking about it for awhile... mins.
Never would release line 2 *51-02.

Guess i'm looking at a misc. card? Eh?

Or trunk modules on the misc card. OR default and reprogram. B4 you do, copy out program to record forms. Otherwise, it'll be a guessing game. John C. (Not Garand)
