I use a GN netcom on my 5224, the only problem I have is with the remote handset lifter. it picks the call up correctly but the way the handset is designed it will not put the handset back in the cradle correctly. I have to go back to my desk to hang up the phone. Other than that I like the headset good range and clarity.

Mitel is releasing a wireless headset and a wireless handset for the 5300 series that will both answer and disconnect a call remotely without jerry-rigging an external handset lifter.

We use GN Netcom 9120 wireless headsets on all of our 5220, 5224 and 5340 phones. We do not use that ridiculous handset lifter. We simply plug into the headset jack on the back of the phone, add a headset button to the phone, press the button to activate the headset and go. If you are going to be away from your desk and you want to be able to answer remotely, use the Super Key to set the phone to auto-answer, the call will ring once and then you're live. If you don't want to have to use the menu under the Super Key each time you want to turn on or off auto-answer...put a button for auto-answer on the phone. If you are not going to be away from your desk and you do not want to auto-answer then you simply press the button for the incoming line. If you forget to turn off the headset button and you pick up the handset the phone will continue to ring, quickly press the headset button and then the flash button twice and the call will be delivered to the handset.
