I had the guy who was maintaining the system try and he got the same result. He's not doing Mitel anymore but still has the setup he's used in the past. He got basically the same result.

Hmmm. Could there be some problem with the serial interface?

There are 2 serial ports, when booting Com1 will show the boot info. If rebooting didn’t work and you tried another laptop with different cable, it’s time to call Tech Support.

When I rebooted I did get some display and some .... but not the whole display. It seems like the system isn't sending all the data to the com port.

ahhh William Ho! first try the 9600 N81 setting, if that don't seem to get you no where then change the baud rates.

If that still fails, suspect that the modem could be NFG.

as mentioned by someone earlier, if you can get onsite then plug in a direct serial connection.

Also check in the CMOS that both port are actually active.

Hope that helps.

Also, what kinda can is this? Like a NuPoint or self contained box, or embedded via the Mitel controller?

<scratching head> I seem to recall if it was a can, you needed some oddball cable, could be null to do an onsite. I have one if you want to borrow it, Also got a NuPoint msgr can as well.
