Hey guys. I have a property that is having a strange problem, the console appears to freeze, with everything at that time still being on the display but you cannot do anything on it. From there you have to unplug the line cord and reboot it then it will work just fine. This is happening about 4-6 times daily....one would think console, but not sure if the icp portion could have the problem on it?
Thanks in advance!

It's either the console or the port. Can you move the console to the other dni port on the icp???

it may be the port. However this could be a very simple thing and you should check it first. Sometimes the keys on the console can get stuck occasionally. Sometimes it is almost impossible to detect with the eye - but a side of the key can get locked down. Next time it gets locked up go to each key and press down while running your finger back and forth on the key. These keys can get oily dirt build up on them from people's fingers over time. I usually recommend that people take off the plastic cover over the keys and the template and clean by spraying a little windex or 409 (very little) on a cloth (never on the console obviously) and clean the keys and around the edge of the keys.
Of course this may not be the problem at all, in which case 55 ftr's suggestion is first try then swap out console. Sure don't think it is a sofware problem.

Could also be a console firmware issue, what is the firmware of the console?

Followup on Dane's comment. Most common cause I've found for sticking console buttons is erasr 'grindings' from pen/pencil erasers! Unplug console, turn upside down and rub over buttons back and forth with your hand. The idea is to let the crud work it's way out and fall to the desk, floor whatever. Sometimes if you sight along the 'plane' of the keyboard, you can see the culprit. But, if there is one, there are more lurking. Be persistent. John C. (Not Garand)

I was reviewing mitel technical bulletins and found one .it said That the consoles & 400 series phones are subject to static discharges which will cause them to lock up and or reset
I had the same problem with a SS1000 a few weeks ago about twice a week the customer would call with there console dead an they would reset it & one time I had to go & reset card to get it back to working.
Final call came in ,console was completely dead nothing in display. Replaced console & that is when the desk clerk said that it went dead after she add answered a call and received a shock. I ask if they getting shocked when they would touch any of the other stuff on the desk ,yes Then I asked them have you gotten shocked each time the console would lock up ,yes I had them ,To spray Static Guard on the carpet & I explained to them that it was them ,discharging 20,000 plus volts into the console . I also installed a TRIPP LITE protector Model DTEL2 Per the Mitel tech bulletin .
