hello everyone,
i have a mitel sx-200 running lightware 17 in form 4 it says dicriminating rining what is this??? also does this system support caller id if so do i need a speacial card for it

Discriminating ringing: 2 short rings for C.O. calls, 1 long ring for intercom calls. Caller ID, you need the CID trunk card, AND CID cards for ONS extensions, and worst of all, I believe an upgrade to lite 18, which isn't available, I think you have to go to 19 r3. John C. (Not Garand)

Also some dsps on a bccIII for the ons thing, don't think you can get there for the cid stuff, without spending some serious cash.

if i upgraded to litew.19 would they giveme an new moss sheet with that im assuming or would i just have to change the little memory card that goes in the main control card

With an upgrade you would get updated Moss to reflect the upgrade and upgrade would come on new flash card.

Also be careful with discriminating ringing. Many modems will not answer with that trunk ring pattern. Think you would have to have to go to COS of modem extension and set "standard ringing applies" to stop that COS from getting Discriminating ringing.

Also could do Class with a Spine and some Class LS modules. But if you want Caller ID on ons stations, the above is required. Could be a cheap solution if you have an open fim spot.
