Ok....is there any way I can allow a superset 4025 to have an LDN button? I want the person with the 4025 to be able to pick up an outside call if the attendant is on the phone, or away from her station. Ideas? Thanks!!

What kind of system is it? You should be able to program it as a subattendant but in order to do that you will have to completely take the set out of programming and then make the device type a sub-attendant (which you have to do first before programming anything else on the set). Once that is done you will get prompts for LDN, etc on key programming. Now that being said the easiest way to do what you want to do is just make sure the existing 4025 has TAFAS enabled in its COS and that a TAFAS ALL feature has a code programmed Also put "TAFAS available during day service " is enabled in the COS. If the 4025 is the Night 1 answer point for the trunks and dial 0 then you can just enable "Attendant call forward no answer" in the Console COS. and set the time in console COS as well then it will automatically roll over to the 4025 when the timer threshold is hit - however the call will then have to be answered at the superset since it will be gone from the Console. I would just use the TAFAS feature and see if that works for them.

Make it even easier for them and program the TAFAS code on a soft button. Then label it something like "Answer Outside". But, then you'll have let the cat out of the bag and they'll want other codes and/or phone numbers on soft buttons John C. (Not Garand)

The 4025 cannot be a sub-attendant. You'd need a 430, 4150 or 4dn in order to have LDN keys, thereby being able to ring simultaneously with the console. The other solutions listed are features that work very well, assuming you can hear, and/or know the console is ringing.

(Not Garand) So I go enable the TAFAS on form 3...or the class of service form...I think it was 3. I'm not at work right now. Anyway, I enable that, and then when I go to set the button on form 9, will there be a feature called TAFAS available to be a button? BTW...they can hear the phone ring, the attendant is right outside her office.

You can do that but if it does not have to ring and you can hear it ringing from the console wherever the 4025 is then you can just program a "Night Answer" button under key programming
Thanks, Daniel

Actually if this is an ICP the 4025 is the ONLY phone that will give you true sub-attendant capability

I have several customers who would like to put LDN keys on their 4025's and make them a sub-attendant, since the 4150 isn't made new anymore. Could you show us how to do that??

To use the TAFAS feature, you'll have to assign it a code in form 2 (?). Then just program the code as a speed code under any available button. Remember, this is not a Phone number, look up the procedure in your phone's handbook, or download a copy at the Mitel website if everyone has conveniently 'misplaced' (LOST ) their handbook. Anybody correct me, but I don't think you can program codes on the buttons thru data entry, it's a go to the phone and follow the instructions in the handbook thing. John C. (Not Garand)
