I have a 6 year old Mitel 3100 ICP V4.066 Aug 2003. Intial problem reported was customers could not select from VM after hours employee list - system dialed extension but VM never answered.

Upon further inspection, found that I could not login as Admin through IE (timeout), not could I get into system via 5020 IP Phone. All other services were working at this time.

Rebooted 3100 with PC connected to diagnostic port. All appears ok for 7-8 minutes then error message "Loading Platform Out - failed, unable to open platform.out", 3100 ICP initialised.

I've been trying to find a list of boot error messages to explain problem further.

Company I purchased system from new in 2002 is no longer a Mitel service provider. Any ideas??

Have not worked on any 3100's but it sound like corrupt software or a bad hard drive, hope you have a recent backup. you will probably need to reload the software onto HD and then restore Database. but if the system is 6 year old it is a good possibility the HD is bad.

Thanks. I'm currently looking for someone local to reload the software via the diagnostic port. I do have BU's.

Mitel had a problem with HD's
But my thought is you have corrupt software.
