Hey All,
Running a sx200 ML LW 19 Q46.0.7 26 with lodging enabled
We recently upgraded from a 200 digital and it didn't have 911 notification, so I'm a little stumped on this one.
I understand the system should alarm at the console when a 911 call is placed, however that is not happening. we had a call the other night and nothing alarmed, we didn't know about the call until the dispatch center called.
Heres what I do know:
1.) in ARS 911 and 9911 (we use centrex lines) are denoted as Emergency Numbers.
2.) In Form 19 at the "ONS Notification number for 911 calls / lockouts" it will not accept any extension number I input into it (ONS Ext, Digital Ext, LDN, Hunt Group) some of these I know don't belong there but I tried anyway.
3.) The 911 call was placed on a TENANT that does not have a console assigned to it. (could this be the problem?)
One other question, could the alarm go to a 4025 or 4150/sub att?
Any direction/insight would be extremely appreciated
Thanks,
John

IN COS, make sure options 108, 616, are enabled.

In form 19 you only put that in if you want to have it ring and notify some other point than the console.
If you want the console to alarm all you should need to do is designate the 911 routes as "emergency" and you said you have already done that so just make sure that (as 55 'er said above) option number 108 is entered in the CONSOLE COS. It will audible the console and lock the display until the alarm has been cleared.
Shouldn't have to do anything else.

Thanks Guys,
I updated the COS, 108 was enabled but 616 was disabled,
A friend of mine is a 911 dispatcher so I will try these changes with him when he comes on shift later

OK, Now I'm stumped, I finally was able to connect with my dispatcher friend and we retested with the COS changes and it still didn't trigger a console alarm. so my next question, which was posed to me by a tech was the issue of using centrex lines.
Does the Mitel look at the trunk digits and not the ARS to determine the "911" alarm. He thinks if this is the case the Mitel is not triggering an alarm because it sees "9911" and not "911".
Was wondering if anyone had seen this before? I'm thinking if this is the case my remedy would be to install a basic POTS line in a Trunk Group of its own and send all 911 calls out on that line. There are only 10-15 calls a year for the property (Hotel, Rest. and Bar).
Thanks For Listening, John

In Form 26's Extendent form create an entry: Digits to Anolize 911, Digits Follow 0, Rout #10
Second entry: Anolize - 9911, follow -0, Rout #11
make sure the Routs have a different from each other numbers.
In Routing definition table make an entry: Rout 10, Delete Digits - empty, insert - empty, Trunk group 1 Rout 11, Delete digits - 1, insert - empty, trunk group 1

ANY digit string you flag as "EMERGENCY" in form 26, will send the alarm to the console, and any other sets you have designated (depending on your software level). You could flag 1-800 calls as emergency, if you wanted to. Mitel does that because not all of the sites where Mitel's are installed use '911' for emergency dialing, so they let you designate the emergency entry. By the way, inf form 4, system option 102, do you have at least feature level 1?

Vad60, I already had ARS setup similar to what you laid out with seperate routes and Mod Digit Entry for the 911 strings, so I think I'm ok there.
fifty5footer, I will check the 102 Options when I get back to the office later today.
Thanks
