Has anyone had any good experience with a suppressor to cut out music from a radio station over the phone? If so can you tell me a source to get them.

I had a customer that had a Partner system near a local AM radio station. He could hear the radio station on all calls and all sets. He tried another vendor before me and after many filters were tried, none worked. The other vendor gave up. After trying some filters myself and checking loop-current and getting nowhere, I gave one last try. I took some heavy duty (restaurant type) aluminum foil and wraped the partner system with it. I cut slots in the foil (top and bottom) for air flow. I cut fairly large slots because I didn't want to impede the air flow. Then I took a ground wire and attached it to the foil and "Presto", no more radio.

metal window screen would probably work as well.. I have even seen copper screening for EMI shielding.

Good idea. that would have been easier than the foil to shape. Venting would not be a problem. I'll have to remember that.

Sorry guys -- I should have gave more information. These are single lines phones -- no key system. Back in my bell days, I thought we had a filter that we used across the line to stop the music from going to the phones. Any more suggestions. The hat will not work!!
