Anyone have a Mitel with LW19 software and 2 consoles? When you put a call on hold at either console it doesnt show a call on hold at the other console. Is there a way to make it so if a call is put on hold at console #1 hold position 1 can we make it light the same light at console # 2 so we can pick up that call on hold?
I think Ive done this before but dont recall how we did it any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

make sure the consoles are in a COS separate from all phones. Enable "Transparent Multi console operation" in that COS. That should do it for you.

Hmmm does nope mean you do not have it enabled, or nope it does not work. As the gentlemenen explained above you require cos option 320 enabled in the attendants cos. If you have access to the documentation go under Program Feature Section (alphebetical) and select Transperent Multi Console Operation, maybe as I suspect it requires that the call come in on a ldn key, not a 100% sure but I believe you should have both users in the same cos unless the documentation states otherwise.

Mitelguy makes an interesting point. Are the Dial 0 calls being routed to an LDN (via form 8) which shows up on both consoles?

I don't think the hold positions can be shared. Transparent multi console operation only relates to messages sent by a console and recall. I'm not sure if hold recall is affected but may be. Of course you could use hold pickup from the other console to retrieve the call.

John I think you are right (I did some research) actually any call that recalls the console can be answered from either position.

Sorry, I meant that I already had those options enabled, as I stated though I think I have made this work its been awhile and there was a trick to it, I'm not on this paticular job and am just trying to help out my brother who asked me. And hold pickup is the solution to this point but of course the customer (It's a Marriot Hotel) doesnt like it and the manager said it worked at the property he came from.....Surrrrrrrreee it did............
Yea trunks and dial 0 calls ring in under both consoles LDN Keys they are identical... I'll let you know what the outcome is, maybe hold pickup is the only option.... Thanks for the input fellas...

I think the only way you might be able to do anything like you are asking is with call park. Not even sure it that would work, but you could fool around with it.

I think what you require is Hold Pickup (Attendant Paged Access) cos option 225 refer to your technical documentation under Program Features for a description of this feature I believe it works with multi attendant positions. As stated above you can try call park if you want to put a parked call in orbit, hold pickup is similar.
