Sorry for a dumb question but new to the SX200 and limited training. The system (MX) came with a default DB installed and we do not have the license for the 20 IP phones. Reading I find I need to load the DB file off the CD via FTP server. I remember this from training but can't seem to get the system to talk to my FTP server (running on my laptop). I have a static address and have it in the system as the FTP server address. I can talk to the system so I know I'm connected, I've verified my IP address. I think it is a setting in the TFTP server I'm using tftpd32.jounin I can't remember the one used in the training and it had to be tweeked a little to make it work. Looked everywhere in my notes and either didn't write it down or have somehow lost it THANKS in advance for ANY help!! Randy

Guild FTP server is recommended by Mitel, it's available on the internet and its free. There is also a KB document that you can reference on Mitel On-Line titled ftp server trouble shooting. I have used other FTP servers in the past ands they have worked as well. Remember to disable all firewalls on your laptop and your ftp server address is programmed in form 47

I now use Pure FTP in Linux but when I used windoze I used Filezilla and it worked like a champ. here is a link https://filezilla-project.org/ It was pretty darn easy to set up. I don't know which server you are using but there should be a function where you can monitor the transaction and this may give you clue as to what is going on. It could be that the directory in your server that you have copied the DB to is not set as the home directory and that is where the MX will look. That is why I liked Filezilla so much it was easy to change the home directory so that I could keep uploads and backups, etc in different directories.
