I'm sure most of you are familiar with setting up hotel/motel applications with "VCRO" or "REACH". Basically properties with this service will transfer incoming callers to an extension of some sort that will forward to the VCRO or REACH number programmed. On the super console 1000 here is what i typically do :
-Program speed dial bin with the reservations number provided.
-Program a macros key on console and have labeled reservations.
-program appropriate COS options to allow unsupervised transfers
-All the staff then have to do is hit the macros and release and Bam!

The property im having trouble with has an SX-200 ML that is shared among 2 properties. Both properties are requiring the reservations. I got the one property setup with the above setup. Now the second console is an older console that will not allow me to program a code for the macros key. In fact the set up screen for "enter new string" does not even appear. So i try the hard way, created an extension unrestricted it, and tried setting up call forward on it. If i enter the number for call forward it will only let me enter the 9 to get an outside line but then will not let me enter any other numbers afterword. I have tried the speed dial code (*512) which will let me enter the full string however does not give me the choice to "save/on"

I hope this makes sense...id appreciate any input as this has been an on going issue for a few days now.

First of all, you can only set the forwarding to a speed dial bin, not to the actual dialed digits.
If you don't get the save/on prompt, that means the COS of the ext. you're trying to forward does not allow call fwd ext, and/or speed dial access.
On a side note, why not tell the operator to just dial the *512 to send the call?

Thanks for the reply. You are correct sending directly to *512 will work and that is the way im going leave it at this time. I'm almost positive all the COS options needing to be enabled are already enabled. But customer is satisfied with xfering to *512 so im not going to touch it no more.

"Older Console" may not be capable of macros. SC1000 console has been around for 15+ years, macros since '98(?). And LCD consoles NEVER had it at all! It's an improvement of the breed thing! John C.
