Hey guys, get right to the point.
SX-50 MS-55 Generic
Console ONLY cannot transfer calls. It doesn't seem to recognize the dial pad on the console while it is in use (on a call). So when they dial the ext number to transfer to, then press release you just get hung up on. We have done basically everything between me and 3 other techs could think of. Below is what we have tried:
-Changed out MCC II -Changed out MS-55 Generic -Tried 2 different consoles -Have changed PSU - as it needed replacement anyway -Replaced both line cords (at head end and front desk)
This is hardware changes only, we have spent much time in the program as well and i do have the database printout on my computer, if someone would like me to send it to them. At this point we are pretty much out of ideas.
Thanks

Initiaaly I would say a bad console keypad, but if you tried 2 consoles it would be rare to mimic the problem.
Have you tried plugging the console directly into the port on the side of the SX-50? Many times the wiring between the MDF and the console and cause problems.
Are there any alarms or error codes?

Can you simply dial an extension or an outside number from the console? Do you have a night mode extension and can you transfer from that?

First, and shame on all for not asking, how long has this been going on? Ever since install, or just started last week? Any power glitches recently, and how old is the battery. Any work going on in building that could have messed up the wiring? Did you reprogram by hand, or reload a download? If you reloaded a download, it's time to triple default and load by hand from console. If the console works fine at the cabinet, pull an all new Cat3 cable, NOT Cat5. Oh, and Westerntelephone will tell you that SX50 consoles do NOT like split pairs! John C.

Sorry for not getting back to you guys, i have been a little under the weather, Here is what i can tell you:
I have tried plugging the console into the MCC with no change. CMD 121 Reg 2 (B) is a 1.
You can dial everything on the console normally with no problems except you cannot transfer the call. You can however transfer calls off any other phone that allows it.
Dane and I worked on it a little bit Friday, found that if you call into the hotel, have them answer from the console, then put it on hold, then take off hold and transfer it seems to work. Were thinking it has something to do with the hold on the system? This is just a strange issue.
I had a tech out there working on some phone lines initially. He dove into program and changed only things regarding over flow and such. Few hours after he left is when property called with the problem, this was about 3 weeks ago. I called the tech and he swears nothing was done wrong, he is a great tech so i can't say he is too blame, also this is one of the properties out there that will give you a different story of the problem depending on the day. System has been reinitialized 3-4 times per Mitel's book and reprogrammed by hand. Like i said i do have the printout of the program handy if someone would like to peek at it.
Sorry for the "novel" but i want everyone to be on the same page.
Thanks in advance

If the attendant is talking to a station, can they transfer the call to another station? If the attendant makes an outgoing call, can they transfer to another extension? If the attendant answers a call, are they able to use the 'tones on' feature? What happens to the outside caller when the transfer process fails?

If i have them call the console from one extension and then transfer to another it will work. If they make an outgoing call on the console it still does not work. From what she just told me Tones/on doesn't appear on the console display.
The transfer process fails basically after they hit release. Understandably when they are on a call and they press a the first digit to transfer it should put them on hold correct? In this case it does not do that, i can hear them on the phone punching in buttons for whatever extension (when i say i hear them punching them in i mean i can hear the tapping of her finger on the keys)as soon as they press release it just hangs up on you.
Hope that helps.

Check Com.121, Reg.2 for (b). Should be 1. I would put but sett on the D- mark, make a call and then will Flash and Transfer. See or Problem is not with trunks but system. if yes I would go trough all Trunks and trunk Groups programming.
