hello guys, we are trying to reinstall a mitel sx-200 in a property which is closed for renovations, property owners friend who had some knowledge of mitel tried to do a software upgrade using a flash card & goofed up somewhere, now the system gives an error "can't load boot file" after trying auto boot. I tried using initial install with the help of a flash card but it doesn't even recognise there is a flash card. Can anyone guide me doing a manual install from flash card. i can call mitel tech support baut thats little expensive using tech support credits.

Well, it would look like there is no boot file on the hard drive. Probably got disappeared when your friend tried to load the flash card.
Not sure what software level was on there before but sometimes you have to do incremental to get to the latest and greatest (if I remember correctly). But assuming that is not the case you would go to the software section of mitel files and launch the program (setup.exe) - it will guide you through the steps to write an initial install to a flash card. I was told that Sandisks do well - others sometime have problems.
You can go load the software from the Mitel site.
