Got a toogh one here, Hospitality customer, 3 total cabinets. The system keeps resetting itself, view logs and shows Bay 1 Msg Link failure
Bay 1 Reported cause reset by MCC at address 00000000
Over the past few visits we have changed out BCCIII twice, MCC, changed cabinets with power supply's 1- DNI line card and changed flash RAM to upgrade system from LW 17 to 19
After upgrading to LW 19 I am getting MILAP 3 and 6 errors
Viewed errors and the only ones showing up are HDLC MCC to Bay 1 Qty =2 and Dataset NOSYNC =2
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Alex, Had a similar problem, I removed all cards from slots 1-8 and reinstalled them 1 at a time, I had a bad ONS card that would cause the resets, Is there a MEM card in that bay? Make sure the MEM is in one of the first 4 slots if you do.

2 dnic, T-1 and ONS - did you have the MILAP and MSG link failures

It was awhile ago but I am sure I had the message link failure, I have seen MILAP failures before but I am not sure it was in this case. Good Luck with it, these are the things that drive us all crazy.

As an after thought, you may also have an excessive messaging problem if you have DNIC sets programmed but not plugged in.
Make sure to delete any DNIC sets that are not being used.

Is it still resetting? If not, don't worry about the Milap errors. There was a software version that showed those in logs but they really meant nothing...

Still resetting as of this morning, yesterday I upgraded the firmware of all the DNIC sets and the system has reset twice since then. Still Bay 01 reported cause : Reset by MCC at address 00000000 And Bay 1 msg link failure

Get rid of those BCC IIIs and downgrade to a PMICC(?) and standard Bay Control. Just replaced the last one in a 6 cabinet system. Can't help with errors, but most msg errors I've seen have to do with the link.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

It turned out to be the darn BCCIII - 3rd one in the system - After we changed out every other card in the system as well.
