Check 'Call Direction' in the extension's COS, AFTER you confirm that the telephone itself works correctly by trying it on a known working extension, or use a known working phone to test the extension that doesn't work.

I checked the call direction in cos it is 1 = both ways. It works if i hook the phone to a different port. Do you think the port is bad??

More likely that the phone is bad.

Phone works in a different port, bothway calling allowed, incoming call has 1-way inbound audio, I'd bet money on bad port! John C.

if you try a phone that has a tone/pulse switch
select pulse. if this works, port is bad. the port has been damaged by static discharge ie
lighting. you might want to check all rooms.if
there is no other bad ports have a tech check system to see if you have any ports that were not in use and program to new port & reconect

You can frog the the card with another and see if the problem moves. If it does you know you have a bad port.

If you decide to 'frog' (swap in english) the card with another, the system is best turned off during the swap process!
