Hi everyone, I was asked to take over service on a customers Mitel 3300 ICP telephone system. I have been working on telephone systems for over 13 years, but am not as familiar with this animal as I would like to be. As issues have come up I have managed to figure them out as I do have access to programming via the LAN.
My problem is that one extension, the main reception phone has a message button (as well as the call light at the top of the phone) that keep blinking whether or not she has new voice mail messages. I have not figured out as of yet how to clear it. She is using a 5330 IP phone.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, I spent 2 hours today beating my head against this thing with no results.

There is an ancient feature called that allows callback of an extension that called you. You should be able to clear if from the console, or by typing the "clear all features" code at that phone.

Careful with the "Clear All Features". It clears ALL features, DND, MW, and last but not least, any CF that's setup!

I will try the "Clear all features" idea this Friday when I make another site visit. I am assuming that if I look under feature codes when connected with the PC, ill find the code for that command.
I did try to press the message button of course, but it does not call back anyone and simply displays "NO MESSAGES" on the display.
Jonp: I think I am missing something with your post. "Try a locate features extension number", can you elaborate a little please.
Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.

In the maintenance section you type the command "loc fea ext XXXX. It then tells you what kind of MSW is set on the extension. There is a COS option to erase message waiting that lets you press the message button (on hook) and the screen gives you option to look at the message and then to erase the MSW and the light would go out.

You could also try to dial the message waiting off code and the extension.
