I have an Mitel ICP200 and want to set the volume on the 4025 phones to be at high volume when picking up the handset to make a call. The volume always returns to low after every call. I could not find any solution to this in the user manual. Is there a way to set the volume to high when picking up the hand set ?

Thanks M Bray

As a rule, the 4025 "remembers" where it was set at the end of the previous call.

If you're cranking it up at the beginning of a call, chances are that the users are finding it uncomfortable and cranking it down to a more comfortable level during the call. It would then remain at the more comfortable level for the next call. Are multiple users using these phones?

You may need to observe a call and see what's happening.

Also, keep in mind that: When idle, the volume buttons do nothing; when ringing, the volume buttons change ring volume; when on a call, the volume buttons change call volume.

the Mitel phone will not hold the highest setting, something about FCC rules, set it down 1 notch, should hold that!

If you set the volume above 10 it will default back to 6 at the end of the call. Keep the volume at 10 and it will remain constant.
