We have Mitel SX-50 with one trunck card, 3 line cards with 16 lines and one line card with 8 lines. Today i had a power surge and one of my 16-line card got fryed (the status light was not green). Due to this event, I am not receiving any phone calls to my main console, I am not able to dial out from any extension either. But I am able to dial out via main console. All the extensons tied to the fryed line card are dead (no dial tone). The extensions whose line cards are good can hear the deal tone but when tried dialing out there was no ring tone. We have called a technician but will take a while. Meanwhile we want to temporarily do something to receive phone calls at the console. How can we do it? Is there a way to even do it? Thanks in advance.

If the extensions cannot dial each other or the console, you probably have lost your programming, either completely or totally. Basically, the answer is probably no. Does the console normally ring on incoming calls, or do you use an auto-attendant? If you have your console guide AND 'flexible night service' is 'on' in programming, you can change the night destination to console. Then set the console to Night.

If LH's suggestions don't work, there are a couple things you might want to try:
First, I'd take your main published number off the MPOE and cross it to the front desk, then install a plain old Single-line phone there so that you can get a basic emergency phone going until you get this fixed.
If you use Ground-start lines, you may not get dial-tone to call out, but you'll be able to answer the main number when someone calls you.
Secondly, I'd consider this a "Sign" that it's time to have a chat with your vendor about an upgrade or replacement. You might not have to do that Today if he can restore programming and get the system going, but today is an excellent time to begin thinking about what you'll do next.

And take a pointer from telephone guy! While the tech is there, have him install a jack with the published line at the front desk, marked appropriately, for the next time. Tell him you don't want it through the power fail provision of the SX50. For reasons that have to do with catastrophic failures!

Something could be wrong with the controller card. Since the ONS was fried odds are something went wrong with that or your in night mode.
