No Manual needed. Just jumpers.

Or switches! Analog or Digital trunk cards? Analog are about 15 X 15 inches. Digital trunk cards are about 6 X 12 inches.

Wait... What kind of SX-200? Like a small refrigerator, or like a group of PC towers, or like a microwave oven, or like a pizza box?
In addition to moving the jumper on the LS/GS card (Assuming that it's not an ICP), you will also need to change the Circuit Descriptor in form 13.

Say, I've recently become the go-to guy for PBX issues at the hotels I work at (It has wires, it must be the computer guy's domain, right?), and one of the hotels just installed an SX-200. It came set for ground start, but they're running loop. I flipped the switches to loop start on the trunk cards, and it seems to be working fine (calls from console go out, calls from outside appear at console). I have never touched form 13.
Looking at form 13 now, it appears that all 4 trunks are assigned to descriptor 01, 6-CIRCUIT CO.
Am I missing something, did I get lucky, or is there something lurking in there to bite me later on?
Thanks!
ps. I'm new, I'm inexperienced with PBXes. I am quite willing (and actually eager) to learn, however!

You got lucky.
Since you mention Form 13, it appears that you're looking at a SX-200 A/D, D, D/L, ML/EL, or ICP. Can you describe the cabinet size and shape?
Is it more like:
A refrigerator, A collection of PCs, A microwave oven, or A pizza box?
Fortunately, the software is very similar in each case, with improvements at each release going forward.
In any case, I recommend seeing if your company is willing to send you to either official Mitel training (which would have to be for the SX-200 ICP product line, to be applicable to what you have) or a Reseller down in Memphis who does their own training, or a guy on this board named Fifty-five-footer (who I think does training).
Formal class-room training is necessary to really "Get" this system. I'd make a point of telling the Powers-That-Be that you have to have the proper training if you're going to be held responsible for what happens.
(In retrospect... You "Flipped a switch?" That sound like A/D... Are the switches on the front of the big cards in the top half of the "refrigerator?")

The system is in an ELx chassis, I'm not sure if it's an EL or ML (how does one know? It states RM on the chassis). Software load is Q46.0.10 12-NOV-2007 (from the Main. console, SHOW IDENTITY).
I'd love to get training, but I'm not too sure they're going to shell out for that. However, now that I know it is still offered, I'll mention it to them. I've lurked here for a few days and tried to grok as much as I can, but you're right, there really is no substitute for training.
Sorry, my bad, I meant that I moved jumpers on the analog 4 port trunk cards. No actual switches involved... Which reminds me to be more careful about how I say things. Sorry about that!
Thank you for such a quick reply!
I have a few other issues with this system, but I'll be making a new post for them, after I flesh out the details of what exactly I'm trying to do, and what exactly I have tried thus far.

Quick update: Looking at my freshly made (via kermit) database backup, a string right up front sheds some light:
SX200 ML Copyright 1996 MITEL CORP
Guess it's an ML. :-)

Please start a new thread, rather than confuse the issue being discussed in another thread. No extra charge PM sent.
