I have a 200ICP that I do remote support on, we have been loosing the T-1 trunks about every other day. Looking at the logs I see trunk XXX not available, we have changed the T-1 card, the Adtran, and the Telco suppose to have changed cable pairs!,But it is PAETEC,, so who knows. If they reboot the PBX, then the trunks come back. I had the on site tech put a loop in the T-1 , and all my channels go idle!

If you loop to the telco, does the NIU show good?

How long between the failure and the tech getting onsite?

Are you carving off channels at the Adtran for data?

If not, I'd bypass the Adtran and see what happens.

form 15,, strange that when it goes down, that they reboot the Mitel, and channels come back on-line, i had the engineer try to just unplug the Mitel from the Adtran, but still didn't bring the channels back

If I remember correctly, when the Mitel determines ALL trunks on a T1 are failed, you have to return each to service individually. OR reboot the system, IF you haven't told it to remember busy-outs.

Look in the circut desciptor there is an option to save busy out status.See if it is set to no.
