Is it possible, on a Mitel SX200Lite, to have calls to a digital extension also ring to an analog extension without using a hunt group? I have users who would like to use a cordless phone paired up with their desk phone. Obviously they can just call fwd to the cordless when they want to take calls on the go, but that opens up the possibility of human error. Because this is healthcare, we can't have any calls missed because someone forgot to use their call fwd. I need some way to make sure call to the desk, always ring the analog phone as well. Something like an answer DN on a Nortel system.

Have the Analog phone appear as a "Key Line" on the digital Set. Publish the Extension number of the analog set as the listed number for the user. Using speed dial codes and a little ingenuity, you can overcome the percerption that the digital phone is still the primary set (Voice Mail, Callbacks, etc,). The newer Mitel's have a feature called 'Twinning', but the Light system doesn't have that!

Thanks for that. I thought that might be the case...like a CAP key on an NEC.

How much flexibility do I have with hunt groups? Can I take an existing extension number and use that for a hunt group? I'm thinking what I do instead is take the existing extension number and use that for a hunt group. The DID would still go to that number. And the hunt group would broadcast to the analog port and whatever new extension number is assigned to the digital set.
My question with that, is what about voicemail. What would be the best way to ensure calls still make it to the same mailbox, and notification still goes to the digital phone. Is that doable?

Your description of a hunt group is really a ring group. To answer your question, yes you can make an extension number a Hunt, or Ring, group number. But the extension's number will have to be changed FIRST. Voice mail becomes a problem, unless you set it up as a rollover point for an unanswered Hunt/Ring group.
All in all fifty5footer's method will be smoother and can be made seamless to the customer!
