You guys are fast, thanks! Still here.

I printed out the CDE a couple weeks ago, luckily.

The disks don't have any visible signs of wear or damage, corruption??? who's to say. I had replaced the disk drives in '08, new from a PC store. There are no switches for setting them, don't know how it knows A from B but I labeled them when I put them in. The handbook basically says it could be any of the things I originally listed.

Did I mention the problem started with a power failure? Without the Master Control to try, I guess I'll try a power supply next. It just doesn't look like I'll get it fixed for them, I've been in touch with an authorized dealer about 150 from here, they may have to bite the bullet if it's gonna get fixed before the weekend is out.

Thanks again.

I have one pair of disks that I know is a pair, the set was in it, the other two sets??? The last time I tried to make backup copies, in June?, I was getting errors and the disks would not be written to.

I looked up "fiasco" in the dictonary, there's a picture of me sitting in this phone room. Hmm.

Ok, just looked at the original disks that were in it, disk A is scratched with two distinct lines. Don't know why I didn't see it earlier.

Drive A uses Drive Select 0, While Drive B uses Drive Select 1. Typical PC drives do not allow for DS selection changing.

or if you have a 200D remove the drive from the card an use for the A drive it won't work in the B
& use a OTC drive in the B

Actually both drives on the 200D are set to DS0, but likely could be set to DS1.

Since the topic has been fully discussed before. Rather than soldering inside the drive, I usually make a small ribbon adapter using a standard pc cable and a 34 pin idc male cable connector with the signal wires swapped to get Drive A to work with an OTC unit.

Don't bother Mitel for the disks, they no longer have them. Their way of forcing upgrades. They ARE available. (Not from me) Tryfifty5footer on here. or Genesis. Or get an EL with enough permissions and so forth to run your Lite periphial cabinets from Either of them, or the supplier of you choice.

Thanks again everyone. No resolution yet. Tomorrow is a new day.

I was able to change out the floppy drives, and set them as DS0 and DS1.

I have a very understanding customer, sure is disappointing to let them down over a long weekend.

Thank you everyone for your help. Ultimately, I replaced the Master Control, disk drives and disks at the same time. Fortunately I had one B disk that would read, so I only had a few program changes to make.

Thanks again.
