Anyone ever buy anything from these guys ?

I placed an order for a serial printer and cable on monday 3 day .

Received the cable ,but no status on printer
They are impossible to get on phone .

Had a feeling they are not even in this country

listed as 4665 melrose ave. Los Angeles

any comments ?

That address is about a half hour from me. Want maybe I should ride over and lean on them?

I've ordered a few things from them the past few years. They are often the lowest price, but I suspect they're like so many of the other web stores - some core items in stock and drop shipping from someone else's warehouse for everything else.

I don't have a problem with that, but I'll always call if I need something in a rush. No way to order by phone and I'll go elsewhere and pay a few more $$$. Learned that one the hard way...

They are smarmy and sleazy.

If you search as I did for a Samsung 214T monitor, they will be the cheapest you can find. It does you No Good as the next morning they are Out of Stock. But you could get it for $50 more.

They had the low price on the web, I showed up at their front door with cash in my pocket and the printout but they were “out of stock” and no back orders at that price.

I called one morning and said if I didn’t get it at the price listed on the web I would contact the District Attorney. Within 1 minute it was changed to “out of stock.”

“We only update our prices once a day, its not fair to be upset over this.”

If they don’t answer the phone, they may have been shut down or left town seeing that coming.

Hopefully this was on a charge card.

I wont hold my breath on that .It was a credit card purchase.

End result they gave a credit on my cc card .

But you have to beat them to death for an answer.

For anything to do with computers, I always, always use NewEgg.com.
I have never had a single issue with them. The price is always competitive, the service quick, and they seem to keep accurate records regarding what they have out of stock or back orderred.
I make sure I hit their specials page at least once every few days as you can occasionally get an incredible deal on a product they are no longer going to stock.
