I want to record a temporary Greeting to play until Sunday morning.
I know how to get into the Admin mailbox where it prompts me (1) erase for a new install smile , mainly I just want to know if the instructions look like this before I do it:
DIAL 550
*
999
PASSCODE XXXX
4 for system Greetings
3 for recording a temporary Greeting
Does that look right?

Well, first things first, what brand of voice mail. Then, a temporary greeting has to be referenced in the internal instructions or the VM will just play the standard greeting. Reference is possibly a poor word to use but the VM has to 'know' what greeting to use, if you get my meaning.

Sounds like you are useing the Embedded VM so what you are saying is correct. When you press to record the temporary greeting it will ask you how many days to use it then record the greeting an accept it.

@LH, the ICP line has ExpressMessenger embedded (EMEM). You can program it in CDE forms 49 and 50, including making mailboxes and changing passwords. Very slick integration.

They've done some good stuff on the ICP. There's incoming DID translation by extension now in form 55, and it over-rides the setting in Form 15! Very cool.

@TG
Don't forget the CPN substitution in Form 54 (if you are using the embedded T1/E1 module) or the CPN substitution by tenant in form 19.

@LH
If you use an embedded T1/E1 module, it can be either a T1 or a PRI circuit and allows you to use form 54. Form 55 can be used with an embedded unit, a PRI card or a DS1 card which to quote telephoneguy, "very Cool".

The DID translation requires FAC 67 to be programmed and you put that code in the M column in form 15 and it then sends the digits to be processed in form 55. The cool thing about form 55 is that you can have a DID sent to a different location for Day, N1 & N2
