Hello,
I'm having trouble with a remote IP phone. When I plug the phone at home it get the IP, but when I dial a number I can't hear anything same if someone call me too. I opened all the ports on the firewall. Do I have to do anything on the Mitel HX 5000 for this to work right?

If it nails up the call but you don't get a voice path, your UDP packets are not getting through. Open the UDP ports.
Following the instructions in the technician's handbook for the Teleworker should set you straight.

I assume you are behind a NAT where you say ports. In the 5000 you will need the NAT IP Address set in IP connection 6000 without it no audio or one way audio Randy

Make sure the IP SETTINGS on that extension are set for NAT. They are set to NATIVE by default.

The problem with voice and NAT is the RTP packet flow. The RTP packets can jump from port to port. You need a VPN tunnel for this to work correctly.
