I have several clients asking about the quality of the microphone on the 8520 & 8560 sets. When they are using the speaker during a call. I use the 8520 & 8560 all day long on the Axxess systems and have never had a complaint. But, on the Mitel 5000CP v3.1, I seem to be hearing that a lot. Does Mitel make an external mic/speaker? Does anyone have a work around? If there was more room on the desks I would suggest a polycom sound station. How about this...What is the volume of the microphone like when using this scenario; Mitel 5000CP HX and the new Mitel phones (5312,5324,8528,8568)? The reason I am asking is the next system I install will be the new HX with the new phones.

Randy You can put a speaker / mic on the new Mitel phones in version 4.0 and above. It makes it a speaker phone Randy

There is a 5310 conference speaker / multi directional mic unit. Be careful, it works with most of the 53xx phones but not the lower end ones...

How about conference speaker / multi directional mic units for the 8520/8560 telephone sets? Any suggestions?
