I am trying to setup an ONS integrated Synectix EZ VMS lite.

Everything seems to be working fine except:

When a caller hangs up on the greeting the voice mail port doesn’t hang up for at least 30 to 60 seconds. This is a problem because it still leaves a dead air message and activates the MWI. I have contacted Synectix and they say that its an issue with the Mitel SX-200 programming. I watch the port when I hang up on the greeting it goes into suspd and the Synectix VMS port does not hang up. I was just wondering if anyone else might be using these units on a Mitel and had this issue. If you did and fixed it. What did you do in the Mitel?

So far my testing has been internal calling only on external calls. So it has nothing to do with CO lines at this point.

John, don't the later EL's provide battery break upon caller hang up. Or am I just remembering a dream/nightmare?

Yes that's correct, they can do an open loop disconnect under the right conditions. I'd have to look those up but don't have the time. I think it may be a feature level combined with it being an ons/class card.

The thing to look for is ons positive disconnect.

Need to have an ONS/CLASS line card and LW18 Rel2 with Feature Level 2. Then COS 506 time of 1-5 seconds.

We had a similar problem with trunk disconnects.
We had an LS Class card in the system, when we swapped it to an old LS?GS card the problem went away.
I know your problem is internal but I thought this was useful to keep in the back of your mind.

The issue was option 506 but it needed to be set to zero.
