I recently took over our SX-200/ML system. We have a PRI coming into the PBX. I am a novice when it comes to the Mitel PBX.
I am trying to assign a DID to a DN that does not have one. I have been looking on this site for information, but maybe I am missing it. I have looked in most of the forms. I believe I need to be in form 15, but I do not see any of the DiD to DN translations.
Could someone assist me in the steps necessary to accomplish this? I would appreciate any and all help!!
Thanks again!

In form 15, you will see that there are columns N, M, X. N = Number of digits rec'd from the telco. M = How many digits to delete X = What digit(s) to add.
DON'T CHANGE IT. If you change it, you'll screw up EVERYONE'S DIDs.
So, say N,M,X is 4,1,3. So the PBX gets four digits, 1234, deletes 1, leaving 234, and sticks 3 on the front, making it 3234. Then the PBX looks for DN 3234. Got it?
You can check actual extensions against their DIDs to make sure you have how it works in your PBX. You should see a pattern, for example, all the DIDs share 2 digits (three digits, whatever) with the DNs.
So the part that YOU DO is creating a DN that fits the pattern of an unused DID.
Say nobody uses (123) 456-7890. Say your telco sends 4 digits (it might send 3). Say that the DID extensions in your office have DNs 8xx (or 78xx, or ?8xx) -- Okay, you make the new DN 890. Or 7890, or ?890. See?
Easy Peasy Lemon and cheesy.

So, first, you have to see what DID numbers you are 'leasing' from your telco/dial tone provider. Then, you have to determine if you have one left, or if they are all in use. If you have one left then keep following telephoneguy's instructions. If you don't have any left, your job is done!

Right. I forgot to mention that you get blocks of either 20 or 100 DIDs from your telco. So if you already ahve 20 DID users, that might be it for you. You would have to recycle one of those DIDs to have a spare. Now, I did audit the DIDs at a hotel once and discovered that they had DIDs to 2 hotel rooms, 2 of 3 hot tubs, and various other places that had no need for a direct dial line. They had a block of 100, and per their N,M,X (3,1,1) every extension that started with a 1 was automatically a DID. Which included two guestrooms. So you may have spares or DIDs that don't make sense.
