Hello everyone,
I'm working on a 3300 ICP with a PRI coming in, and having some issues setting up DIDs. I inherited the system, and i'm not sure if there was an issue with its' memory or if the config wasn't saved, but they power cycled it and it lost some of its' config.
Basically, there is a fax line on x251 which should be associated with the DID of x914. The quick way to get this working was to add a Speed Call entry, which works for now. The issue with this is that if someone tries to dial something in a 4xx area code, it see 9-1-4 and routes it to the fax.
So the question is, using a PRI, how do i set up DID mappings if the extensions/DIDs don't match?

How is the Trunk Service assignment set up for incoming digits? How many digits are they sending? What is the x digit in the x914? If they are sending 3 digits then you can add a digit like 7 so your Speed Dial number would be 7914 pointed at 251.

Should have mentioned that, i am receiving 4 digits, and the system is configured for 3 digits. Right now its set to absorb 1 digit.
I did try adding the speed dial as being 7914 but that did not work (i'm assuming because the 7 got stripped)

Since anything you do with the Trunk Service assignment affects every DID you have a few options..
Don't absorb any digits and set up a speed call for the other DIDs or insert a digit and do the same thing.

Ah ok, so basically there just simply isn't very good support for mapping DIDs to extensions unless they already match up. What i ended up doing for now is forwarding the number at the carrier to the x251 DID so now it's being handled on the carrier side instead of the PBX side.
Thanks
