Have this Onyx system that we are trying to connect a MOH device to I see in the manual we have to put it on a line port, but also requires programming of that port. Can programming be done over the phone or do you need to connect via laptop? Please advise.
Thanks

I think you can only program the 3 & 4 by terminal only. I know on the VS you can do either way if there is a serial port. I have only programmed the 4 with a terminal.

DTMF, that info is for the VS. You can program any co port on the IV to be MOH

A6, I didn't read his post right and was thinking of a VS, Then I read it again and saw that he was talking about a 4, and you are right you can use any CO port, and they can only be programmed with a laptop or pc. The Onyx 3 or 4 can only be programmed via a laptop or dumb terminal. Any CO port can be programmed as MOH. Through QM programming tell the system the line port for MOH and connect your input and test.

Any tricks I need to get into the system. The manual doesn't show a password.

Actually the manual does have passwords in it. Depending on the manual, it's on page 375. In the section, "Before Programming - Introduction" In the "Entering an Access Code" header.
If you still have issues, email me.
