The short answer to your question is yes it can. Over point to point t-1 circuits. I believe you can network up to 5 systems together as the system can only support 5 t-1 cards. However, they may have updated it to support more, they were supposed to, but I'm not sure they ever implemented it.

Thanks. So do you feel IP Networking is not a capability on the 384i?

You can definetly network 384i's togeather, and it will work very well. You will need t-1 circuits in place to do it. I've done 4 or 5 of them so far with the biggest customer having 3 sites. It works great if it is set up properly. As far as doing it via IP, I dont think you can link individual systems, but you can do VOIP using thier gateway unit and have system phones connected off premise at the remote site.

Thanks. Can you tell me more about this VOIP Gateway. Does it support Centuralized voice mail, IP Phone sets, Centuralized attendant?

There is a Networking manual available from NEC Prt# 92000LAN07. The remote Gateway/Extenders are designed to extend NEC phones across WANS not to Network remote systems and they are very, very pricey. You could almost install a complete remote system and network it for the same money.
