Prospective customer had a power outage and now system is down and phone display shows "System Startup in Progess". Reboot (pwr reset) does not help. CPU fried?

Any suggestions to try other than swap our CPU?

Thanks
Timbo

Try and start the system in COLD Startup, it a swith on the cpu that casically shuts the battery off. Shut the system down and wait 30 seconds and power up in cold start...if it does the same thing the CPU is toast. I have seen a zillion of those. If not then you will need to reprogram or reload an old database.

Before doing a coldstart - (hopefully not too late) shut sys down then unseat all the cards, then re-insert the CPU card. power on system, see if ext 301 comes up (or whatever is attached to port 001).

True...a bad co card could cause that. Unfortunantely the damn station ports are on the CPU card.

Coral Tech and BillFlippen, had to go with the "cold-start" to get it to work. Thanks again for the help on this.
Happy Holidays!
