I need to re record the message that gives the list of people and thier extensions. How do i do that? i cant find anything in the manual. I only found Voice announce unit stuff and that doesnt seem to be it.
We have our regular greeting message and it gives you the option to press 2 for a list of employees and thier extensions. This is what i need to change.
i realy need to do this ASAP, thnx

Are you talking about dial by name directory? If you are you simply access the DAT (Dial Action Table) and put either DIRL (Last name) or DIRF (First Name). The Info on it is gathered from either the user imputting the digits on a mailbox setup OR the names you type into the name fields on the mailboxes.

Im talking about: when someone calls the office they hear a greating that lets them chose "2" to hear a list of employees and thier extension number. We have lots of new ppl so i need to change that listing. I have to find out how to record a new message for that part.
also this is on a 384i system.

I am assuming you have an nvm. Apparently they have other call routing mailboxes set up. This is a tad tricky in the nvm. You have to have a DAT setup for the call routing mailbox you are using for this recording.
Usually these are setup as 811-816 or so but can be any number. Easiest way to find out is to goto the AST Aswering Scheldule Table and see what Call routing mailbox is being used and follow it from there. This voicemail isn't that hard if you have any voicemail experience to hollow. You can always type H for help to getthe syntax correct.
You may need to read the manual a tad.
