quick question. I know enough to be dangerous, I have a cust. with an old VS 3 cab, 6 station cards. There are a lot of vacant ports that I can't get to come up. Phone flashes but thats it, I pull up a report and thse ports show as dead (even with a phone plugged into it) am I missing something (turn on a port) or do I need to swap out cards?

well I replaced the the card, no go. Same ports are dead, When I plugged a phone into it all lites come on and you can hear paging and ringing over the phones, but no buttons work. Once again I ask am I missing something. I have about 20 ports like this raqndomly dispersed throughout the system. BTW I double checked the ribbon cables on this as well and all are seated OK. Time for a new ASPIRE?

Bill Try reprogramming the phone after it is installed on the port. Something I remember from way back when was you cant preprogram with a phone in place.

Try disconnecting the 2nd and 3rd cabinets and connect an 88363 or equivalent diplay phone to port 00. I have had several onyx aux/slave cards to go bad and flake out the whole system.
Hope this helps.
