Hi all, ive just registed for this site because I saw someone here helping out with a similar problem to mine before and was hoping you could all do the same!!

We are using Nitsuko phone connected into what I think is the 96i system. Not sure on this.

Anyway we use so far DAY and NIGHT mode here. On DAY mode the incoming external calls are routed to extension 200. Extenstion 200 is part of Incoming call group 1 set under option 0909. And on Day mode group 1 is set under 0910 to be the call group used.

Night mode means its extension 215 which is called, thats port 16 as set under 0909 and Night mode rings call group 2 as set under 0910.

Now however I want to set up so that during the day the Operator can switch the phones over to extensions 201, 219 and 230. I have Added these to Incoming Ring Group 3 (0909) and under 0910 Ive set ALL trunk lines (1-52) to use group 3 whether in Midnight or Rest Mode.

But when in Midnight or Rest Mode It still rings Group 2 and I dont know why!!!

We have recently moved from analouge lines to ISDN lines. Is it a case that Im not meant to use 0910 and there is somewhere else that I point incoming calls at groups 1 2 and 3???

It' a 28i, 124i, 384i or 704i. By ISDN, do you mean a T1 or PRI? If that's the case, you need to go to the incoming digit translation tables.

You need to check program 0901 item number 14-17 for each trunk.
14=day 15=night 16=midnight 17=rest
make sure it is a 0 not a 4 or the same as your day mode setting in item 14.
If its a 4 then it routes the call to prog 0917 and bypasses everything in prog 0909 & 0910

Everything is set to 3 from Trunk 21 onwards. Not sure how to use 0901, any hints? When I changed some of them to 0 or 4 then all kinds of things happened. Some calls to DDI's went to Reception instead. Some calls did what I was trying to do. And some calls didnt go anywhere.

3= DID
You have a T-1 or PRI don't you?
If so all your call routing is in program 1806
You need to look at the tables and see where the call is going, you also need to know how many didgits you are receiving from telus.
This is pretty advanced stuff, each programm points to another program which points to another programm and so on and so on..........
You need to call a certified technician.
I could right a book here!

I read your beginning post again,
The tables in 1806 are really long, the calls can go to a different table in every mode night/day/midnight/rest.
Or they can be routing to the same table that is why your calls are doing the same thing. The original installer only built 2 tables 1 for day/ midnight/rest and one for night.
You need to build and entire different table

Telephone man yes we have an ISDN primary Rate coming in with 100 DDIs on it. This is coming into a 92i system. Building a third table may indeed be beyond me?

Fist thing is write down all the entries in all below categories, you need to know what is in their first before doing any changes.

I will try to do a brief summary:

1. start in 1805 it has 4 tables 1-4-these will give you the start address and the length of the table for each mode.
-if you have a 100 DID's then I would asighn 200 for each mode.
first entry in table 1 = 000-199
table 2 = 200-399

2.1808- this tells the system what table to look at in which mode. For this you need to know which trunk group your DIDs are in .
keep looking till you find it
tr grp 2 = day-1 night-2 mid-2 rest-2

this is what I think you will find- he only built 2 tables

3. 1807 - will tell you haw many digits your carrier is sending you between 3-7

the 1806 example will be based on 3 digits

4.1806- is your translation table this is where start address 000-199 will be your day mode
your main number will more than likely be in the first address 000
-read the entry--- my example is
number received=511
translation= 511 or no entry at all
name = Main Number
This means the actuall phone number this entry is talking about is ???-?511

This is where it gets even more fun,

5. 511 could be a phantom extension it could be an actual extension.
Or if there is no entry at all then it must be using loop keys to ring on.

Each of these options points to at least 3 other programs.

This should point you in the right direction anyways,
GOOD LUCK!
