I'm working on a DX2NA 32 (i guess the same as the 124i), the customer wants to have a private line (CO 4) ring a few phones and then forward to an individual mailbox. Currently it overflows to the AutoAttendant. Is the possible on this system. The software is 6.06.06.

If it is a 124i, you should be able to set this up with "Incoming Trunk Ring Groups" (program 0910). Assign trunk 4 to a new ring group.
Then use program 0909 (Extension Ring group assignment) to set the phones that will ring.
The no-answer destination is set by program 0919.
Voicemail handling will depend on your specific voicemail system. The Digital Vanguard system (frequently installed with i-Series systems) allows you to have different mailbox routing based on the trunk port.
There are probably a dozen different ways to handle call routing, so what I've described may not work in your setup. You could also handle this by setting the trunk to be a DIL port.
I don't recognize that software version for a 124i. Most 124i systems I see are 6.00.xx. Is there a newer version I'm not aware of?

I checked again, the software is 6.01.01. The system is a Nitsuko DX2NA-32, the NEC I series manual seems exactly the same. I currently have Line 4 set to go to a separate IRG, i will try the rest of what you have recommended. The voicemail is a 4 port analog Vanguard. When using the 0919 program, can the call directly to a mailbox?

You could also send that trunk (DIL) it to a virtual extension that has a no answer forward to VM and is a subscriber box in the VM. Then you can put the Virtual on the phones, make it ring and even delay on others. This works good when you want to give it a distinctive ring.
