We have a barn full of Dimension 100, 400 and 2000 systems and parts as well as horizons, 1A2 and assorted parts and phones. It is A LOT of stuff. I posted here for advice as opposed to the Buy/Sell section because this might be a case of how to properly haul it off and dispose of it. Is there a market for this stuff as junk or is there some third world country that would be glad to get the stuff?

All the above ------ Mark, try a chemical salver --- a local one buys central office equipment by the building, melts down the cards, salvages the platinum, gold silver, and the chemicals that the card itself is made of. Of course, the metal is valued by the pound. You might try where they recycle computers. Just a few thoughts, KLD

When I sold off my dimension stock that was about 70 cabinets I had a local scrap dealer come in.
he looked @ a sampling of cards and and offered .35 to .75 per card and .01 per pound for the cabinets.
we counted every card and he provided 50 gal plastic drums .
We had 50 drums of cards and 12000 lbs of cabinets.
So try locally first

Have you thought about trying to sell some of it on ebay? The 1A2 stuff might do pretty well. Some of the folks here may want to take some of the stuff off of your hands. I'd like to but I can hear my wife's voice in the back of my head...... the message is quite clear... Don't even think about it....

Yeah, e-bay may be a good place to go. I saw an old step-by-step switch for sale for $15,000.00 a few weeks ago. There is a lot of nostalgic value in the stuff.

Anybody have nostalgia for a Dimension or a Horizon? I don't think so, kinda like having nostalgia for diapers.
Cord boards and antique stuff has interest but this is Horizon and Dimension, just old useless stuff that should be melted down before some third world country hears about it.
