Ok peeps, been a LONG time since I upgraded a 384i but someone correct me if I am wrong here. You save the database on the NEW software disk via the telephone. Then power the system down and reboot with the new disk (and software) in it. Is this correct?

Thanks

Yes as long as the dip switch on the CPU is set to read from the disk and not the ram.

Perform the upgrade and then flip the dip switch back to the ram setting.

Thanks Chris. Ya, even NEC didn't have the hardware manual I needed. I actually FOUND my hardware manual from school that references the dip switches.

Thanks again
