I have an opt 11c rel 23 that I’m installing 1 universal truck card.

I need to make sure I have the right procedure for installing and activating the universal trunk card. The way I understand it is, after installing the card I build a route in ld 16. Next I build the trunk in ld 14. Then in ld 32 I enl the card. Is this correct or did I leave any thing out?

After all that, I can assign the number to a phone, although I haven't figured that out yet.

Thanks for the help

Tony

Tony,
You are on the right track.Print an existing RDB,that will give you a guide line for ld 16.Do a print for the members of that route, and that will give you a guide line for ld 14.Print an existing set with trunks assigned, and that will give you that guide line. You can email me,if you need to.I will be traveling, but I will get back to you.

Bruce,

Thanks for the fast response. I did the prints as you advised. I have 2 T1's in the system now, this will be the first universal trk card (NT8D14A) in the system. Right now I'm in LD 14 at prompt XTRK. Per the manual my choice are EXUT, XCOT, or XUT, but I'm not sure which is correct and why. Thanks for your help. Have a safe trip.

Thanks.

Tony

Thanks. I searched through the I/O guide under LD 11 to assign the new C.O. line to a key but, so far didn't find anything. What I need is direct trunk access(like a key system). Any sugestions?

Thanks again.

What release software are you at?You can assign a trunk as an "auto terminate" or "pvn/pvr" to an assigned dn on the digital sets. Why do you need direct trunk access?Neither scenario will bypass NARS/BARS.

I have Opt 11C, Rel 23. The system is on an Air Force Base -- to dial out of the building the user (The Commander) dials 9 plus a 5 digit number (base numbers are 5 digits). If the users call off base to a Verizon number they must dial 9 99 XXX-XXX. From the base switch 99 is dialed for off base local calls. The command section wants direct trunk access to the base (no dialing 9) and to a Verizon number (number on order), and a direct line (controlled by another switch) to and from his boss. I not sure yet if the distant end of the DL is connected to a DMS 100 P-phone (M5316) or a Cortelco 3100 telephone. I think that's it.
