Hi~ I did something I believe was stupid today and need your expertise to undo it. I was trying to check our voicemail on our Nortel Norstar system (the new person's voicemail wasn't answering supposely) and I called our number from our phone. I received another line, but when I tried to go into the voicemail, I lost connection somehow (not real sure how) and now I have two lines that I can't get into. When you hit either of the lines, it shows the message 'line in use'. The lines aren't on anyones phone so I can't just pick up the phone and terminate the call there. Is there anyway I can get into one of the two lines and disconnect? Thanks for any and all help! Valerie

reset the system: Unplug the power, give it 5 min. then power it back up again. That should do it.

Test-ok has the best answer. Reset! Your two lines were locked up in the voicemail. Resetting will fix your problem. Good Luck!!
If all else fails, use a BFH.

Also check your line programming to ensure that you have Trunk Mode set to Super. This may help this from happening again.
