I have a Northern 8x24 with a RAD connected to it. I would like to back it up using the "Backup and Restore Tool" option, as part of the "Northern ICS Programing Tools", but it reports back that "You are connected to system Modular DR5. Backup and Restore Tool is not supported in this system. Is there an upgrade from DR5?

You can't use NRU backup and restore tools to backup 824 .You have to use Norstar Manager to backup 824.NRU backup tools is only for CICS and MICS release 2.0 and higher.

I just tried using Norstar Manager. It is asking for a user id and password. What do I enter?

Thta's depend on the password you entered in the set up of the Norstar Manager.The default is password/adminpassword.
