Can the number of digits in an intercom number be changed on a norstar 3x8? CICS? (sorry, another n00b question).

Compact 3x8, do not remember. CICS, yes, DN length can be 2 to 7 digits.

i'm not sure about the 3X8 either. Like open wire said the cics and Mics can have that many digits. Just a tip if you want to use hunt groups later on down the line use 3 or more digit extensions. You will not be able to use hunt groups if you use less than three digit extensions.

The 308 system only allows 2 digits DN from 20 to 99,default 21 to 28.I hope that helps.

And yet I was told on another board that the 3x8 had a changeable DN length on DR2 and above......but the more I've read I've been drawn twoard the CICS. I think im just gonna go with that.

I got a 3x8 DR5 at home here and you can only have 2 diget dn's as stated in the earlier reply
