I have a ATA installed which works good except when using a modem it drops the call everytime but when using a test set call does not drop.Is there something in programming I'm missing or do you need a ATA-2? Modem works good as well when connected to outside line.

Not yet but will! I could not remember the difference between the ATA & ATA-2. I believe the only difference is modem speed.Someone correct me if I am wrong.Curious if there was anything I was missing because a standard call works but modem drops! Could just be the ATA is bad.I will try another one!

Ok, going to lack a little on details, but i've had this problem before and solved it. In some systems, there's a setting ATA ANS. TIME (in cappabilities/set abilities I think) Fiddle around with this number, if it's high, put it low, and vice versa... this has worked for me before. At the same time, anyone able to tell me what this feature does exactly ???
